Upland Marriage & Family Therapist & Counselor

Lolita M. Domingue is an Upland Marriage & Family Therapist and received her M.S. in Counseling from the University of La Verne (ULV) in 1993. She worked as a trainee in the Claremont USD and as an intern at the Los Angeles Child Guidance Clinic, where she coordinated the day treatment services for children five years and younger until 1998. She has been in private practice in Upland since 1998 and is an AAMFT Supervisor working with trainees and interns at Catholic Charities Counseling Programs and the Loma Linda University (LLU) Marriage & Family Therapy Clinic. She has also taught Multicultural Relationships at ULV and Group Counseling, Play Therapy, and Case Presentation and Professional Studies at LLU.

Lolita Domingue, M.S., M.F.T. received her Masters in Science from the University of La Verne in 1993 and performed internships at the Univ. of La Verne Counseling Center, the Claremont Unified School District, American Institute of Family Counseling in Tustin, Calif. Youth Authority in  Chino, Fred C. Nelles Youth Training School and the Los Angeles Child Guidance Clinic.  In December 1996 she received her Marriage, Family and Child Counseling license.

Since June of 1992 Ms. Domingue has worked as a full-time program therapist at the Los Angeles Child Guidance Clinic in the Early Intervention Day Treatment Program, with severely emotionally disturbed children ages 5 years and under.  In January 1995 she became the program’s coordinator and successfully planned and coordinated the expansion of the program’s services three-fold.  She was responsible for the supervision and training of fourteen program staff which included professionals and paraprofessionals who conducted assessments and diagnosis and delivered behavioral therapeutic treatment to the program’s children and their families.  Lolita also participated in the training of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellows from the University of Southern California, School of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

Ms. Domingue is currently a member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists, the Association for Play Therapy.  She has worked as a Mental Health Consultant for Foundation for Early Childhood Education, Head Start Preschools, provides clinical supervision to therapy interns and trainees at Catholic Charities Counseling services in San Bernardino and at Loma Linda University Behavioral Health Institute, Counseling and Family Sciences Clinic and has served as adjunct faculty in the Counseling and Family Sciences Department of Loma Linda University and in the Behavioral Sciences Department of the University of La Verne.  She has presented numerous workshops and trainings to mental health professionals on child and play therapy and on working with the African-American community.
