Description: Emotional Transformation Therapy (ETT) is an interactive ecological psychotherapy originated by Steven R. Vazquez, Ph.D. in the 1990’s. It is a synthesis of attachment based interpersonal therapy that is radically amplified by precise visual brain stimulation as light enters the eyes and photosensitive cells convert light into neural impulses. This attachment-focused form of therapy sets a new standard for eye movement in therapy. ETT® provides a new level for client safety as a moment by moment diagnosis and an effective treatment. It combines empirically based concepts from quantum physics and interpersonal neurobiology, rapidly regulating intense emotion and to helping dissociative clients feel connected again while providing attuned interpersonal support.

Educational Goals: This course is designed to teach the basic concepts and techniques of two ETT tools: The Spectral Resonance Technique (SRT) and the Multidimensional Eye Movement (MDEM) wands. Participants will receive knowledge and skills necessary for the practice of ETT to include: Dysfunctional adult attachment patterns; the colors associated with specific emotional themes therapeutic responses for each; recognizing the presence of emotional dissociation and the optimal therapeutic responses and interventions for the same; identifying fixated eye movement associated with trauma and how to effectively apply MDEM interventions.
Educational Objectives:
Course Instructor: Lolita M. Domingue, M.S., is a Marriage and Family Therapist in private practice in Upland, CA since 1998. With a background as a Gestalt therapist, she began her training in ETT in 2011, matriculated through the five levels, became a certified Master Practitioner and a trainer. More about Lolita
